Cooling off period RSS feed

Hi all,

I have a visa related question for those who might be aware.

We have a candidate that is currently in the US under an A-3 visa (with a diplomatic visa). We would like to hire her as au pair under the J1 visa.
Do you know if it is required to do the cool off period of two years after an A-3 visa in order to receive a J-1 visa? Where could I obtain official information about this? (I've seen the State Department's website about the two year cooling period after a J-1 visa but in this case she will be here under a different visa, and then we would like to bring her here under the J-1 visa.

Thanks in advance for any insights!

The agency should be able to apply for a J1 for your candidate without any problems. Just review A3 visa information. If there were a requirement to go home after the A3 visa, it would be clearly stated that way.
