Any experience with Aupair International?

Their agency fees is about $1500 cheaper than most agency, I wonder if anyone have used them before?
How was your experience?
Do they have a good selection of APs?

We have used them twice. It is a small agency however I found the personalization a nice experience. The only issue really is rematch. If you go into rematch the pool of candidates is very small. We had to with our first candidate who decided to go home early for a job opportunity at home. It took us almost 6 weeks to get somebody new because we do not want to lose the agency fee.


overall I found unresponsive, the local coordinator was good, and our second O'Hare was really a rockstar. the matching process is not as automated as it was with larger agencies, but I think they do have a web-based searching system now rather than requiring a matching specialist to send you individual au pairs profiles. I would not hesitate to use them again however remember the rematch issue always looms large and that's the biggest issue that I would be aware of.

Ok thank you! So you ended up rematching with an out of country candidate?

Yes, out of country. Takes 4-6 weeks. you will need interim child care that the agency does not provide. So unless parents can take off from work, or you have grandparents that can help out, it's very challenging.
