Hi Parents,
I am a nanny that is currently looking for work and I just like to share the following. When you are interviewing nannies for your positions, if you have either spoken with them over the phone or in person. Please have the courtesy to let them know your decision even if your not interested in hiring them. We take the time to send you references, coming to meet you and we would appreciate the respect of hearing back after we have spoken. I’m sure you would appreciate the same ![]() Thanks |
OP: Does this happen to anyone else? Does it bother you? |
Honestly, this has never happened to me. |
I totally agree w/you.
And yes, it has happened to me where I never heard a peep from past families who I interviewed with! I sometimes had to contact THEM myself to ask if a decision had been made yet. This even after asking them to please contact me either way so that my search would be easier. Ugh - so annoying! ![]() |
Are you giving references prematurely? |
I’ve never given references out until I’m in the top five. Almost all families let me know how it goes, and many let me know that I’m second choice if such and such with 20 years of experience and a Masters degree doesn’t work out. |
