I have no plans to accept, but my employers invited me to go out of town to spend the holiday with them. No expectation that I would help with kids or food, just an option, since I have no local family and wasn’t intending to go see my family. Wonderful family, but no. I’m going to enjoy peace and quiet! |
Same here. My employers go to the grandmother’s for Thanksgiving and the grandmother invited me to come. Also my former employers.
I have friends that I always spend Thanksgiving with but it is so nice to be asked. |
It's really nice from them to ask you ![]() And it shows they really consider you as part of the family. I would do just like you : thank them and spend the holiday at home by myself. All nannies need this time to themselves, quiet and peaceful time away from children ![]() |
Your Nanny Family sounds lovely OP!!
They must truly consider you part of their family! ![]() I do not blame you, I would use the time to relax & have some quiet “you” time. |
My now DH and I have been going to my nanny family's house for the past 3 years. Always as guests since the grandparents want charge all to themselves!
This year she gave me the entire week off because DH won't be able to take his usual week off at Christmas, which is when we take a trip together since we have no immediate family. And she gave us money to help pay for the trip! |
