parent what should i do help me i have worked with this fanily for 3years and now kids are golng to school mom want me to come in for 3 hourly i told her that wont work for me, so she gave me a few week notice on my last day she pay me at 11\30 pm late that night after baby sittering .my question is should i get two weeks severance pay she show me no appreciation not even a card from the kids, i am so hurt and this job leave a bad taste with me i would like to explain to her how she make me feel just want to do it in a respectfull way

No, if your contract didn’t state that you get severance than you don’t. Notice is sufficient. You need this reference, OP. Do not mention anything!! Keep things as pleasant as possible. |

You got notice so you are not entitled to severance. I am sorry you don’t feel appreciated. Please say nothing to your former employer - you will want to see the kids and you will need a good reference from her. |

| I got nothing after 7 years with a family. They were good to me financially in that they paid me FT even when the kids went to school but no extra effort whatsoever to make me feel appreciated. |

I don’t understand why paying you at 11:30PM is relevant to this issue.
