A friend of DS has a nanny who runs a weekly playgroup for about five or six toddlers. The nanny used to be a teacher. All the mothers and one other nanny stay since the kids are all just two or a bit older.
This playgroup nanny has sensory bins set up, has the kids painting and playing with homemade play dough. And she gives them a snack and reads them a book. She also insists on doing all clean up herself.
I spoke to the nanny’s boss about splitting the cost of the materials the kids use and she declined. But what about compensating the nanny? Maybe a gift?
Thanks for any insight!
