They don’t have regular housekeeping service. They can’t afford it.
So they want someone after school nanny and housekeeper in the morning.
How many of you could accept that kind of position? Please be honest

Doesn’t matter if I work 30 hours or 40 hours but tasks has to be done.

I won’t take a position that requires housekeeping. This positions sounds more like a housekeeper who will also babysit.

Depends on your education and experience. I agree that this position is a housekeeper who babysits. And the salary, even in cash, is very low.

Make sure you agree to max hours for that $700 or you're going to find it creeping upwards. If youre ok working upto 40 hours per week then tell then that is the most you will work without OT.

Well, yes we are. Opinion is judgement, PP. NP here and while I would never come down that hard on a person who is presumably not paying taxes, no one loves paying taxes but we do it to support our country and community.

This does not sound like a good agreement to me, OP. I think you'll find yourself cleaning in the afternoons with the children. And the pay is very low.

Trust me, OP, they will expand your duties until you are cleaning 40 hours a week at least.

Housekeepers can earn much more especially those who are willing to babysit and pick up children. The pay is too low and the job is illegal.

I agree 100%.

...and calling me a loser isn't judging me?

OP isn't very bright to accept cash. She has no proof they pay her, she can't collect unemployment if they fire her, and she probably won't get a contract in writing. Guarantee in a month or two she'll be back, miserable, because they've completely changed their expectations and are asking her to do far more than they originally asked of her.

That's $17.50 an hour untaxed at 40 hours. Not a low rate. Up to you, OP, but I agree that you need to define your duties clearly so there's no job creep, and set on a max number of hours you're willing to work.

If you're not interested in housekeeping, pass on the job. You will hate it and resent it, and I can guarantee they will have plenty of people willing to take this gig.

Not really. People keep saying housekeepers make more than nannies. I'm sure there are some who do, but I have never paid a daily housekeeper more than a nanny, and never been asked to pay more. Someone who comes once a week for a deep clean charges more, but that's because she's juggling multiple clients and running a business.

Depends on the tasks. If they could put down what to do for 1-2 hours each day before kids show up and show that 30 hours is what it’s takes then great.

Monday- vacuum, meal prep
Tuesda- laundry, meal prep
Wed- groceries, meal prep
Thurs- clean xy/errands, meal prep
Friday- vacuum, meal prep
