Should I expect a raise or ask for a raise after being with the family for a year?

Unless there's some sort of financial crisis, most people depend on an annual raise. But sadly, most employers will try to avoid discussing it.

Simply tell them you'd like a sit down meeting for a performance review. If my employers aren't super happy with my work, I'm taking a new job with better compensation.
