How many of you worked short term and had bad experience. I meant after you worked the families didn’t pay you or paid you less then what they promised to pay.
Please be honest , yours opinion is very important for all nannies who wants to work short term. |
| I took a 3 month gig a couple of years ago. It was 3 days a week and I knew the end date up front. I got paid weekly and it was fine. |
| MB, not a nanny, but when we have had short-term nannies (usually to cover our own nanny's vacation or medical leave) we have always paid weekly. I wouldn't advise working for someone who doesn't offer to pay as you work. If they don't pay, then you don't come back. I also recommend getting the details in writing even for a job that's just a month or two so that everyone's on the same page. |
| How would you not get paid? And continue to go back? Do you mean that you worked for 1-2 weeks and they didn’t pay your agreed upon price? Did you work longer? But, I do recommend a contract for all working arrangements. |

I think the majority of Nannies prefer to be paid on a weekly basis so if I wasn’t paid for one week, then I most certainly would not return.
Even if things end badly, I always have gotten whatever monies owed me. |
