| How did you find your nanny job that is paying over $30/hr? Do you find agencies have the better jobs? Are you located in the DMV? |
| I am with an agency (not in DC) but my current employer found me, my profile, on care.com. I have a masters in ECD and preschool teaching experience. |
|
We pay our nanny 35/hr.
We found her by word of mouth |
|
Anyone can say ANYthing online.
I seriously doubt any Nannies make $30/HR. Unless they housekeep as well or watch like eight kids. Signed, A Nanny |
Of course anyone can say anything online but that doesn’t mean it isn’t possible to make $30 or more. If you did a nanny share for $15/hr each family, that right there is $30/hr. |
| Most I’ve heard a nanny makes in my area is $25. I’ve only heard nannies with masters degrees make $30+ /h. |
| I make $28 we met in a mom group on fb |
I make $28 an hour for one child plus my employers have leased me a car and cover car insurance as well as my health insurance. With the new baby coming and an annual raise, I will be making $30 an hour in January. And absolutely no housework beyond my charge’s laundry. It is true, PP. |
|
I make $36/hr. Started with this family 3 yrs ago at $32/hr. No housework (just my nk stuff IE his laundry, making his food, cleaning his area). I also get health/dental, a nanny car and phone paid for. And the normal pto/sick time (21 pto days/5 sick) and the normal major holidays. I have one nk.
But I’m in Los Angeles. I use Agencies (more than just one) I’ll be with this job til he starts kindergarten in 2 yrs. we’ll evaluate what’s next (I like full time work, not part time. Normally work 55-60 hrs now). My next job will be from agencies. |
Do you have a masters? And are they millionaires? I really doubt you’re gettinf laid that much...even in LA |
Omg! I meant paid !! Haha |
How did you find this job and are you located in the DMV? |
Laid.... that’s personal but there’s a funny video that was out a few years ago about how hard it is to date in LA. Have a masters-No I don’t. Are they, I don’t know. Their personal pay is not my business. Do they live in a 6 mil dollar house, yes. (And a flat in NYC and Vancouver). Do they own multiple cars yes. Do we travel often on private jets, yes. Again I don’t know their personal financial information(and why would I) I’ve been a nanny for 20 years. The majority in LA. This is my 4th job above $30. I know my worth, I don’t short change myself. And obviously the agencies I work with agree. I’ve never been out of a job. (IE I’ve always found my next job before my last job ends. So no break in jobs). |
Yea they are filthy rich. No one pays that much unless they are rich. |
| Nanny in LA here- I make $35/hr. These jobs exist. |
