ISO part-time mother's helper

My husband and I are expecting twins in about 4 weeks (or less) and are looking for a part-time "mother's helper" during the time that I will be on a 2-3-month maternity leave. Anticipated duties would include home organization, occasional grocery shopping, laundry, watching over/feeding one twin while the other is being tended to. We are interested in someone coming to our home for 2-3 hours per day, 2-3 times per week, after the babies are born. Any recommendations on where I can find such a helper?

A mother’s help buying groceries? Assuming they’ll be old enough to drive, which I doubt it. Mothers helpers are usually young and not able to drive so I doubt they’ll be able to go buy you groceries. I had a neighborhood girl who was 14 hell is out, but she most definitely was not shopping for our groceries

You are looking for a housekeeper who is also willing to babysit. A mother's helper is a child, someone who is learning to babysit. A nanny teaches and engages children. A babysitter keeps the children alive and safe. Finally, a housekeeper cleans your house, does your errands and babysits (sometimes). I wish you luck.

By the way, most adults won’t think 2-3 hours is worth their time if the commute is over 10 minutes. Most positions guarantee a minimum of four hours per day, or they pay a premium.

The above are not the duties of a "mother's helpers." but those of a full-fledged nanny paid at $20/hr minimum. No nanny is going to work only 15 hours a week.

You actually need a cleaning person who is willing to do errands and occasionally engage the kids. No one is going to work 3 hours a day unless she has another job that ends at a reasonable hour. You are looking at $20 an hour.

Worth a shot. I'm available for such help starting September when my own kids are at school from 9 am to 3 pm. I won't be cheap though - $22-$25 an hour.
I've gone through all the website for part-time jobs a such and can't find any during those hours. There's got to be someone who needs occasional help during those hours.
