Hi,
I want to take my charge to any fun place for his birthday. The family will celebrate but I will be not able to attend the party. I want to take him any special place for his birthday. I bought gifts for him but it’s not enough. He is two years old. We been many times to scramble I want to take him any different place. Any recommendation? Thanks |
| Make picnic food together and invite a friend to the park. Maybe cupcakes? |
| Or birthday muffins to minimize the mess. |
| Why aren't gifts enough? He's 2, gifts are MORE than enough. At that age they're thrilled with an empty box. Is there someplace you can go for a train ride? Kids that age usually love that. Have fun, but be careful not to overstimulate him either. |

In Old Town, you can ride the trolley from the King Street metro station down to the waterfront and back. Round trip takes about half an hour. Starts at 10:30am M-F
If it's rainy, Springfield Town Center has an indoor train that costs $5/person, plus there's an indoor play area. There's also a bounce house room but it costs more. There are some indoor trampoline parks. |
| The kid is 2. Not even a kid yet. A gift is plenty. |
Of course he's a kid, but yes, op has already done enough. |
|
OP, stop doing more than needed. A gift is really enough.
Kids nowadays are too spoiled. Nanny. |
| Where do you live/work OP? Hard to make suggestions without knowing where to suggest. |
| Just go to Zinga. Or go to a museum. Even a 2 year old would have fun at the Children's Science Lab (Fairfax, I think). Or go to the zoo. Or do a picnic with a friend for him. Doesn't matter, he's only TWO! |
| There's a great little train at Cabin John Park- $4 each. My 2 and 3 year olds love it. |
| What did you decide, OP? |
| Op here thanks guys for always being helpful. I work and live in Alexandria. |
| How about you take him out to a playground then to get ice cream afterwards? |
|
Op here I appreciate all your ideas but mostly I like the train one. He never had ride on train.
Thanks again |
