I'm doing some initial research for a friend who is not the area. She is looking to hire a part-time live-in nanny for someone that is going to be an organ donor for her. The donor family already has a full-time nanny, but my friend would like someone to be available should emergencies arise, help on the weekends with their two small children, and to pitch in around the house with cooking and cleaning.
My questions are -- 1. What are the must-have qualifications? 2. What is the probable employee profile? 3. Are there placement services that could help? Thanks in advance. Any help while researching this would be helpful |
| What availability (what days and hours)do you want the person to have? Or is it 24/7? |
| Morning routine and Evening Routine during the week. The days are free - Long Hours on the weekend. |
| Your friend should advertise for a live-in nanny with weekend and evening hours. Same qualifications as any other nanny. Use a national service like care.com to possibly get someone who wants to move to the area (we did this and found a great, live-in night nurse). |
Care is worthless unless you know the zip code of where you want to move. I would suggest using a national agency, or one of these: gonannies, enannysoufe and nannies4hire. Unlike care and sittercity, you can search a whole state or even all states. Any idea how long the position will last and/or when the start date is? |
