Nanny Activities/Tasks RSS feed

Hello! I’m new here! I’m returning to work soon and have employed a wonderful nanny for my 10 month old daughter. She will be working daily from 9-6. Id like to get some ideas of activities she can do with my daughter at home during the day, as well as some tasks she can help with that directly benefit the care of my child (such as cleaning bottles). I’d love to hear others suggestions. Thanks!

Story time at various libraries, exploring all the playgrounds, museums, aquariums, etc. Each day there should be a different activity.

Our nanny finds all these activities, does all the kid laundry (not bedding) lets me know when they are growing out of a size and often puts together a shopping cart online of possibilities for me to buy, made all baby food and portioned it out, got rid of baby toys the babies grew out of, did online shopping for new stuff, etc.

What did you negotiate? Talk to your nanny, see what she expects to do, see if that’s what you expect her to do. You may need to go back and negotiate again if your expectations aren’t matching up, and if you are completely unable to resolve this, you may need to look at hiring someone else.

I understand your a ftm, but I really don’t understand how so many parents hire someone without negotiating duties!

Our nanny found great classes for DD out of the house and projects every day at home. Painting, homemade play dough, bubbling stuff with colored vinegar and baking soda... They make a weekly trip to the library and nanny seem to find every free kid event in town! Last week DD met a miniature horse!

Our nanny has also made friends with a lot of SAHMs and has play dates here, their homes or the park.

Nanny has more energy than I could ever dream of having!
