Leaving a nanny share

What's the proper etiquette for leaving a nanny share? How much time should we give the nanny and other family?

Do you have a contract? We agreed to a year term, which I regret bc I now have doubts. Anytime after a year, we are supposed to give three months notice. I'm now looking to break the contract.

That is an incredibly long time to agree to that arrangement. If you really aren't happy, communicate about it. I'm also in a share and I wouldn't want another family to feel stuck for that long. That arrangement benefits no one.

We have a contract and put 4 weeks notice for all parties.
