Extension with a friend of currrent AP

We are on AP 5; all have been good in their own ways. We have never really considered extending with any of them; primarily because these girls have their own priorities and one year is enough in our opinion for cultural exchange with an individual . That being said, a local AP that we know through our current AP has hinted she would like to extend with us. We did not know her HF but she seems happy there; we (as usual) will not extend with our current AP.

Anyone ever pick up a local candidate in their second year that was friends with your AP? How did that work out and how did current AP handle it? We have not even touched on second year with current AP, but is just not an option. We would consider the other AP; sans drama for last 3 months with current AP.

Does your current AP want to extend? If not, then there should be no hard feelings but if she's looking to extend and you offer it to her friend, she'll definitely feel hurt.
