Christmas gift/bonus for nanny of 2 weeks?

We have a nanny that started 2 weeks ago, what is an appropriate Christmas gift? Would we still do a full 1 weeks pay bonus?

Not a full week, but I'd give her an extra $100 or $200. I doubt she's expecting a full bonus.

Hell no. A full week's pay as a bonus is for someone who has worked for the prior 12 months. I'd give $50-75.

Some people say "Give as you mean to go on" but this would be ridiculous in this situation.

I would simply gift her an extra $100 for Christmas since she had only been w/you such a short time.

I highly doubt that she is even expecting any type of bonus so soon.

I started with my current family in early September of last year. My weekly pay was about $950, and I received a bonus of $250 last year. Having been with you only 2 weeks honestly I think $100 is more than enough.

OP here - thanks all!! I think $100 sounds fair. We originally said we'd pay her 1 week of paid vacation but now we've said 2 (1 week we choose and 1 week of her choosing).
