| If it's PTO (sick leave), she can ask for a doctor's note, I guess, to show that you actually went to the doctor. But even that doesn't have to say anything about the cause. |

| Do you often take sick leave? Maybe she is worried that you won't come back or you are quitting? Anyway its inappropriate to ask this question and just inform her you are going to the doctor you don't need their permission. |

2 times this year. I've been with this family 18 months. 3 times total. 2 days with an awful stomach virus in January and then over a year ago with suspected strep. Haven't asked off in about 10 months. |
