Confused about situation

Hi,
First, I thankful for your advices. When I had situation I disused here and goy helpful advices. I am nanny . I am working with current family more then year. I worked 27 hours per week. I take care of little boy cooking , errands and light housekeeping. I told the family I need to make more hourly and I need more hours. I am okay to work with them and find another job. They told me they wants to make me full time and ready to pay me what I was asking. I didn't want pressure on them that's why I was ready to find another job and keep them. But they told me to stay. So , now here is situation they just give me raise and more hours but started to behave very rude. I don't know why they became very rude. ( I had opportunity to work with another family and keep them as well) now I lost that opportunity. Can someone tell me why they accept your request then regret. Any advice please. Do you think I have to talk with them again ? Thanks |

| Don't over analyze it. Just do a great job so that they SEE the benefit of having you full time. |

I think they are resentful & are showing it in a passive/aggressive manner.
Not cool! You need to give your notice + quit. They will likely be angry at you and likely fire you on the spot, so make sure you have all monies paid to you before you let them know. When they ask why you are leaving, tell them the truth..... What you just told us. Then find a family that will respect you the way you deserve to be respected. Good luck!! |

Bear it if you can while you are looking for a new job. Get the new job, then give notice. Assume that when you give notice, you will be immediately asked to leave, so be ready (be paid and have all your things ready to grab).
If they ask why and you feel you have to say something, this is hard to argue with: "I felt uncomfortable after the money discussion we had." |
