Wonderful Nanny Available! RSS feed

Our amazing nanny, Shannon, is available and searching for full-time care for one family or nanny share. She started with us in a nanny share for one year and then continued just with our son who recently started daycare at two and a half for an additional year. She was with him since he was four months old and she is an incredible caregiver.

Shannon is reliable, kind, thoughtful and very loving. She is very friendly and quickly made friends with other nannies in our neighborhood and organized regular playdates every week so our son became socialized early on. She previously worked at a daycare and helped our son count and learn the basics such as colors and shapes. In addition to speaking fluent English she also speaks fluent Spanish and spoke to our son mainly in Spanish, per our request. Shannon took our son to all the Smithsonian Museums, DC libraries, the National Zoo, and the Building Museum as well as various indoor play gyms during inclement weather. In the summer she took him to the pool and various splash parks throughout the District. Everyday she planned an adventure for him and treated him like he was her son.

As you can imagine, it was hard to let Shannon go (for our son and for me!) but now she is available to help another family.

If you are looking for a nanny, please contact Shannon directly at (202)469-2856 or reyb.0981@gmail.com.

If it was "so hard to let her go", why did you do it?
Separating your son from his nanny was NOT a smart move from you. He obviously got enough socialization through his playdates and school is getting closer ... where was the rush?

I hate posts like this. Daycare is cheaper than a good nanny. Lots of families eventually make a choice in part based on cost. That doesn't make it "not a smart move."

Then the OP should be honest about it and say it's CHEAPER !!
