Can I get someone for 3hrs in the afternoons?

I have three kids and a nanny now. All of them are not in school. In a few years, they will and we will only really need someone for afternoon pickup and maybe make a quick snack before we get home.
Would someone do 3 hours a day? I'm wondering if it'll be just the same cost if I kept our nanny and have her do some grocery shopping or cleaning?? |

| Considering this is in a "few years" you probably have time to figure it out. But yes, you can find someone, maybe a high school kid, SAHM with a younger child, or someone retired. |

Wait and see. There are so many options -- after care, after school activities, au pair, part time sitter, part time nanny, full time nanny/housekeeper ...
If you can afford to keep someone on full time, then you also have back up for sick days and school closings. |
