I had an interview for a part-time position. The mom let me know upfront thy went through a couple of nanies that didn't work out. Then she tells meet didn't work out because they wanted paid time off, paid vacation, sick days, and guaranteed hours. She said they need long-term and go on frequent long wekends. I told her that I was not interested because I need a stable income. She then said " there are many nanies that will be ok with it but we like your experience and really want you". I'm like NO. I seriously can't believe there are employers who think they can get an experienced nanny and no pay her a stable income. It's sad.

Guaranteed hours, I'm sure. I have a part-time nanny job with guaranteed hours. Why accept a job without the guarantee when weekend nannies are so hard to find?

Just forget about this family & move on OP.

You are not a good fit.

Thank goodness they showed their true colors so you could avoid it.
