Hired new weekly sitter - now missing items from the house RSS feed

Anyone with experience? If you haven't witnessed the actual theft...but odd that items are missing (kitchen utensil, etc)

Thanks

Are you sure it's just not misplaced? She put it in the wrong drawer? You should ask her. If you are sure she took it, then fire her and file a report, but check first.

If it is a kitchen utensil, chances are 99 % that she put it away in the wrong place.

If your jewelry is missing along with your spatula, perhaps then I might suspect theft.

You need to give more details, what exactly is missing?

Don't jump to conclusions. Leave some test items around. A pair of earring s on the bathroom sink. A few dollars in a drawer.

Pay you nannies a decent pay and they wouldn't have to take anything. Everyone wasn't raised to respect other people's property just remember this. I worked for a family in the early 1980ties, therefore while the children were in school I did odd jobs jobs to supplement the small income I was being paid. One house I went to clean someone put a $100.00 bill under the bed, It was a good thing the vacuum cleaner didn't suck it up otherwise I could have gotten accused as a thief. Then another time a saw a necklace under another bed I gently put it on the nightstand with a note....please be more careful with you jewelry. Nanny aren't thieves some people are just careless, or the vacuum cleaners are the culprits. For small items they need to empty their vacuum cleaners' bags.
