Fair rate sitter in Richmond Va RSS feed

We are hiring a babysitter for the week to help my Mom with my 4 year old while he's with her for Grandma camp.

The girl that's doing it was recommended to me by my niece and said she's comfortable with whatever we pay.

Over the days it will likely average to 55 hours of work. She will drive him around a little and help with bath and bedtime.

What's a fair weekly rate you think? My SIL lives there and said $500 for the week which may be fair there but seems so low to me.

Thoughts?
