We're looking to hire a PT house keeper in NW DC. 20-30 hours a week. Duties include cleaning, meal planning, cooking, some laundry, household organizing. We need someone on the ball with good attention to detail and planning skills. We have young kids, but have other child care in place for them. What's the going hourly rate? $15? $20?

Thanks!

Hi!

I worked as a FT nanny/house manager and earned $30/hr for FT guaranteed hours. It was a combination of house management, housekeeping, and child care. For PT work, I'd also be looking for guaranteed hours and would likely want to earn a bit more, so something around $35/hr. However, I have 10+years experience. When I first started out, I earned $20-$25/hr for similar tasks. Hope it helps and good luck with your search!

This is 2018 not 1975,! For what you want, $50/hr minimum and, more likely, a lot higher. You cannot afford such a person.

Housekeepers are not making 50 bucks an hour to start. Just stop.

You want a lot of things for $15 an hour and eve for $20 hour. You might find someone for $25 an hour since you only offer part time.
