Nanny cost for two kids

Hi all. What is the monthly cost range for a nanny for two kids in the home (same family) in DC? And if you have insight please specify if it's pre Tax or after tax. Thanks so much.

15 to 30 an hour is right. Of course it is pre-tax. How could we possibly tell you the monthly cost without knowing the hours she would be working?

I don't know the monthly but also depends if the kids are in a morning or day pre-school program.
Our nanny gets $900 gross for two kids 7:30am-5:30pm, kids are in "school" from 9am-12 noon. She is paid mostly on W-2s, some cash component.

$20-23/hr. Pretax. NWDC. You can do the math for a monthly salary. Most posters here talk in terms of pre tax hourly rate. Please remember to pay O/T. It's right and it's the law.

Personally, if I really liked a candidate, I'd go to $26/hr. Anything over that is over market and unless the job includes things like meal prep or shopping,it isn't worth it.
