A background check only tells you if he's been caught commmitting a crime, not if he's likely to commit crimes or hasn't been caught. I am so sorry that happened to you and I hope things go better you.

This is exactly why nannies need background checks on potential employers. You never know who might have a criminal history. You need to feel safe behind closed doors.
