Pay raise after one year RSS feed

Hello! We are nearing one year with our wonderful caregiver, who is part of a nanny share and I'd like to revisit the contract as we head into the year ahead, What is the typical increase in year two? $1/hr increase per family, or total, and I assume the same rate applies to overtime? Thank you for your help!

Yes, generally $1 an hour. And a another week vacation.

Yes to $1/hr per family.

No to an additional week of vacation, though additional vacation time, health insurance contribution, or other perks can be added as recognition if you wish. But adding a full week of vacation is not standard.

We gave our nanny $1 each, and bonus.

I'm not sure what this means. Overtime is 1.5x base rate, whatever that is, so $1/hr raise = $1.50/hr raise for OT.
