Family not paying me for OT RSS feed

Anonymous
Ok so this issue has occurred more than twice. I'll do a date night, or stay 2-4 hours later than usual. Usually the dad says that he forgot and will put it into my next pay check however, it has happened again, and niether dad nor mom has said anything. Like a mistake is a mistake but now it's starting. To get annoying. I have bills to take care of and it's very inconsiderate. How do I address this ?

Invoice them. I assume you have a regular payday.

Go home and on your computer, type up a document where you can record your hours. You know, a time sheet. Leave it at their house and fill it in each week.

They should remember, but they don't. You don't say that they resent paying you, just that you're tired of reminding them. Print this sheet out once and just put it on the fridge or something.

So it's not that they aren't paying you, it's that they're paying you late. Sounds like they're disorganized and it would help if you told them what they owe you before they pay you.

Are you paid direct deposit or something? Why don't you just check the amount and go back in and tell them it's wrong that day? I am paid direct deposit but when I have OT or reimbursement checks written by db it will be wrong sometimes because mb is more familiar with the way it's totaled, I just check it before leaving and go back if it's wrong. If I forget until I'm home I send a quick text to let them know.

DB says he will put it into your next paycheck - does he actually do so? I am confused if you're paid late or not at all, and it's a difference that matters.

You start giving them your hours WITH OT the day before they pay you. This is deliberate and if it continues then report them to local wage and labor office and look for a new job. Inexcusable to cheat you.

Refuse to do OT and tell them you refuse because they have not paid you in the past for OT in a timely way.
