| My 15 MO just started going to a nanny share with one other child (14 MO). What is the etiquette when your child is sick--is it different from daycare? E.g., DC woke up congested and with a thick runny nose, but no fever and otherwise happy. Should I send? I think this would be fine at a daycare, but here, there's only one other child, so it's pretty obvious if the other child gets sick as a result! |
| I think you need to talk to the other Mom to establish rules. I personally would be ok with a runny nose/cold. I would not be ok with fever, vomiting, HFM etc |

Talk with the other mother, OP. There are no set rules for nanny shares.
I would be fine with a cold (just like daycare). But be prepared to pick up your child today if a fever develops. |
Why your ou not ask your nanny share? |
| OP here, thank you! I'll ask the other family. |
| Our rules are no fever, no throwing up, and no thick discharge; clear runny nose is fine. |
You couldn't figure this out on your own? Common sense is a wonderful gift and given to every single one of us. Use yours! |
