| We already have a family to do a share with. When interviewing nannies, do you typically interview all together or each family individually? Pros and cons of each? |
|
When i did a nanny share I interviewed with one family and then went round to meet the other. However, the mum of the first family had more children (and had hired a nanny before) and really knew what she was looking for.
If you and the other family have the time to interview together great! I would use a phone screen to make sure the nannies you are interviewing are really what you are looking for |
| I am a MB, and we interviewed the candidates together. That is less time intensive for the nanny, and we could discuss shared observations. |
| I would interview together. You'll need to get used to working as a team. |
| The last share I considered had me interview with them first, then have me interview with the other family, who suddenly were moving away...then I offered to just work with family 1 while they looked for another family. But they were too cheap to pay.. totally wasted too much time on these people. |
| together, who have time for all of that. |
| I recommend interviewing together. It surprised me how fast the hiring process moves for good candidates. You can secure your top choices much faster by having them meet everyone at once. |
