| Easiest thing to do is say, "I'm not going anywhere, honey. Why do you think I would go back to myold job?" It's probably just a kid misunderstanding how nannies work. |

| Tell the parents what he said. If the child is afraid or insecure, the parents should know. If you are about to be fired, you should know. |

OP here and yes, you are right. He is 6 years old to answer other question and I am his first nanny. |

MB has reassured me and I feel silly for admitting to her that I was worried but it was causing a lot of anxiety.
She doesn't know what he means and said she will talk to him but not to worry. |

kids say crazy things all of the time. Sometimes my charge will reference events from his dreams as if they occurred in real life. good thing his parents reassured you lol |

Well, it would have been a perfect opportunity for her to tell me if they no longer wanted me around but she hasn't so I have to try and relax.
I don't think my charge meant to make me worry either, I know his character and that isn't his style. |
