I am a ftm with an infant. When he grows older I am
Thinking about offering my services to watch someone else's child full or part time (living in my area). I am experienced and capable. I was just wondering would anyone actually hire someone like me- stay at home Mom who wants to do childcare to supplement income. Very intetested to hear opinions on this. Thanks! |
| Are you thinking of a day care in your home or a nanny service (in other's home). |
| Op here, I am open to both situations. |
| I would not. I just want my kids prioritized to someone I'm paying to take care of them. |
| If you are in MD then day care in the way to go. Get licensed, it's easy but there are requirements and classes. You set your own rules and can screen families. |
| I'd hire you as a nanny if your kid were not an infant and were my kid's age so they would be the same "speed" but I would want you to come to my home with your kid. |
| I would hire you too as long as we had similar approaches to parenting. I would expect to pay the same as I would for a share situation. |
| I now have more of pre-school/school age children. I would hire you... I actually just need an adult in a house for a few hours. I presume I'll pay you less than to a nanny without a kid. |

My kids are in preschool and will be entering elementary school next year. I would hire you if you are willing to come to my home, meet the kids from the bus, help w/ homework/dinner/bathtime etc...
I would probably also need you to be able to drive my kids though so that might be tough. But I certainly think there are parents out there who would hire you - especially if you could fill that really challenging hire of 3-4 hours every day after school. Good luck! |
How many do you have? Ages? |
