| I hope all nannies have a wonderful holiday and a very happy new year! |
|
Thank you!!
Happy holidays to you as well
I'm a nanny and I'm going to have my nanny family at my new apartment for Xmas to open gifts. Their grandma is in town and MB's sister as well. I love them all, so I'm excited
Not sure if we're doing it on X-mas Eve or X-mas, but after that I'm off until after New Year. I have 2 other part time jobs (one before school care and dog walking), so I'm looking forward to a break from them all. I love all my jobs, but I also love "me" time. Happy Holidays everyone!!

Merry Christmas to everyone from this nanny as well!
My nanny family is going out of state for the holiday, and I am bringing their pet guinea pig to my house to "babysit" for a week. I have never "babysat" a guinea pig before.

Wouldn't it be a wonderful Christmas present if your NF paid you enough that you only had to have one job. Merry Christmas and they are very fortunate to have you. |

The same to yo too. |
Well.. the "kids" are 14 and 12, so unfortunately they don't need a "nanny", just someone to drive them around, help with homework, cook dinner, etc. I've been with them for 3 years. I actually do make a full time salary, because in addition to my 4 hours every day, I work one overnight a week. I have all these other jobs because I have time and I'm trying to pay off my credit cards faster. |
Pro-tip: put on oven gloves before picking up the guinea pig to clean out its cage. Put it in your bathtub to hang out while you clean the cage. You're welcome. |
Guinea pig sitter here again. Thanks for the tip. I have been wondering how my two cats will react to the guinea pig being here. It had not occurred to me that the guinea pig might also get scared and become aggressive. We will find out tomorrow night how this will go over! |
Long-time guinea pig owner here. The guinea pig will be terrified. You should keep it protected in a cage in different room from the cats, away from drafts. |
|
Guinea pig sitter here again. That is my plan. Guinea pig will be staying in her cage, in the guest bedroom, with the door shut.
If my cats are way too interested, I will take guinea pig back to their house. But they live six miles away, so that would be a 12 mile commute each day just to feed the guinea pig. |

Thank you!
Tomorrow is my MB's birthday and she invited me and my family for a lunch at fancy place.
