Present for nanny starting right before Christmas

My nanny is starting to work with me right before Christmas (q few days before). Would you give her a Christmas present? If so, what or how much?

I would. Bunch of flowers and nice box of chocolates with a card saying happy holidays/looking forward to working relationship kind of thing. Start as you mean to go on.

Yeah, something that's a small sign that signifies "We're looking forward to building a great relationship with you going forward."

I would give a nice card and maybe $25 worth of gift in some form, whether it's chocolates or a Starbucks card or a scarf or something.

Yes, just keep it inexpensive ($30/max) & let her know how much you are looking forward to working w/her.

I'd give her a small cash bonus ($75-100). she may have gotten stiffed of her xmas bonus due to the timing of her transition between employers. and we can all use a little extra at the holidays! not necessary, but would be thoughtful.
