| Right now we are paying our nanny $15/hr net to take care of our 2 year old. I am thinking of returning to work, so she would be taking care of our 3 mo old in addition to the 2 year old. Is $20 net an hour a fair increase? She also does laundry and dishes and sweeping while my 2 year old naps. I truly care for her and respect her, so we want to make sure we do right by her. Thank you for your input! |
| Seems pretty generous in terms of pay, but you might need to lower your expectations on the housework front, unless you've got your 3 month old on the same nap schedule as the 2 year old. |
| Only is for per nanny,ha,ha,ha.... |
huh? |
| Ask your nanny. |
| I think that is a good rate... if you are in NW... then I will do $21 or $22. |
I concur 100% w/this. Caring for two children in that age range is a lot of work. No need to add chores on top of her workload. Maybe you can add them on later as the kids get older. Sure you will hear from Nannies on here claiming many other Nannies can do it all and blah blah blah. But logistically requiring chores would most definitely affect the quality of care your children will receive, no doubt. |

$20/hr net is an incredibly high rate OP. And a 33% increase (from 15-20) is astonishingly high also.

| We pay $20 for one child (two in the summer and some weeks). I think pay is commensurate with experience (just like any job). |
