First timer here. We love our nanny who has been with us since my daughter's birth one year ago. What is the appropriate bonus - one week's salary or two weeks salary? Thanks |
Either. One week is fine but if you're that crazy about her give two weeks. |
like you said she is wonderful.. 2 weeks |
Two weeks salary. And consider yourself very lucky to have a great nanny. |
2 weeks if you can swing it. Her first year we could only swing 1.5 weeks. Last year (and will be this year) doing 2 weeks. |
Nanny here. One weeks' salary. Anyone who would be disappointed at that is not a wonderful nanny, and it gives you wiggle room to give more little stuff throughout the year, which will do more to build the relationship than one big gift at the holiday. |
I give a year's salary per year of working with us. |
PP, I hope you meant a weeks salary, per year of employment. |

Two weeks salary. If you don't treat her well, someone else will. |
One week's salary. |
Troll. Some people like to be very generous with their nanny, and it's not going to break the bank. |
+1 |
One week and bear in mind you are setting expectations for each year. So either do one week all the time or two weeks all the time. |
+2. Treat your employees as you want to be treated. |
