Should your boss pay for parking in DC or should they get you a permit?
what is the best way to get to work in DC, by metro or driving?
If driving to work, where can I park all day? Thanks

When you set up the interview, ask about parking. At the interview, if the only parking is pay/permit parking, ask how they anticipate you will deal with it.

I do not agree your boss should pay for your parking. Just like any other job, the responsibility of getting there should be yours.

Where do the parents park? they should let you use their garage/driveway/parking spot while they are at work.

Lol. Obviously, you don't live or work in the District. A lot of downtown units don't have parking places, much less garages or driveways.

In most places, the family can obtain a two-week temporary parking permit to allow the nanny to park for more than 2 hours. It's kind of a pain, because you have to go in person to pick it up, but it's how our nanny share handles parking with our nanny, who commutes in from Maryland.
