Nannies...how to deal with a narcisstic, lying MB??? RSS feed

Nannies have you ever worked for a family in which the mom lies to you a lot, just because she's narcisstic and only thinks about herself?
And with that behavior even ruins kids life, because everything has to be her way?
Someone who screws you about your money, tells you you get a week paid off, you make plans, but then you actually end up working for 2 days?
What's the best exit route to take haha thank you

At 5 pm, after you have been paid, you say: goodbye. I will not see you on Monday not ever again. If you have to wait for check to clear then you just say good night and never show up again.

You act like a professional and quit in accordance with your contract. Seriously people, this stuff isn't that hard. If you want to be treated like a professional, act like it. I'm a former nanny and am baffled by the posters who act like immature teenage babysitters. Probably why they don't get treated like a professional.

Who do you think you're fooling? No one.

When you receive all if your monies owed to to you (if paid in check, make sure it clears first!), then send them a simple text or email letting them know you won't be able to come back due to the status quo.

To the PP who calls this behavior "unprofessional," I have to respectfully disagree w/you on this one.
OP is being lied to on a regular basis & is definitely being taken full advantage of.
Her employer is not treating her in a professional manner so why should OP treat her like a professional?

Exactly. No one respects a doormat nanny.

Because you're not a child and you don't mistreat someone just because they mistreated you. It's called being the better person.

-1,000,000. Anytime an employer tries to screw. Put up with them for you on your pay, you do not need to give notice of any kind.
