I don't believe you didn't show up for work for a 2 PM to 9 PM shift because you over slept! All this time you were asleep, your alarm didn't wake you up and you didn't wake up until 9:30 PM - after your shift? Wow! Sleep away.

I've never called in sick in 4 years, but my Boss is being obnoxious about me taking days off. So I'm going to call in sick in a few months and have a long weekend.

Is this a new nanny? My nanny is really reliable, so if she told me some bizarre story, I'd let it slide even if I totally didn't believe her. If she was new, or regularly late or something, I'd roll my eyes and then we'd have a talk about whether she really wants a job.

Regardless of if you believe her she was a no call, no show. In any other profession, this would be a serious offense, I suggest you take it as such.

Tell her you are giving her fair warning.

If this ever happens again, she will be issued her walking papers.

If she wants to party all night long, she needs to find a different profession.
