I'm in Los Angeles and have noticed a paradyne shift from the foreign nanny/housekeeper model to the American, educated nanny (generally a college graduate with a degree in ECD or Education) and was wondering if this was happening elsewhere. My BFF hired a former teacher with a MA in Early Childhood Development when her son was six-months-old and it is kind of amazing how fast her kiddo has progressed in the last year and a half. His vocabulary is amazing and he knows all his colors, shapes, numbers and letters at just under two years old; he is polite and well-behaved - and most importantly, he is so happy when he is with her.
Is this happening elsewhere? I am currently in my first trimester and am hoping to find a teacher-nanny as well. |
| I'm a teacher-nanny. It's paradigm. Paradyne is a topical pesticide for dogs. |
Thank you! My auto-correct is an idiot (and so am I for not catching it). |

One of the keys to your child's best success is zero screen during early childhood and several hours a day outside in nature. And of course feeling truly loved by your caregiver. |
| LA nanny here- I'm educated and earn $29/hr with one family and $40/hr with another family (special needs child). I wish I was seeing more educated nannies but it's still mostly foreign/spanish speaking nannies in my area (Beverly Hills). I really wish I knew more of these teacher nannies but I can't seem to meet any! I'd love to be friends with some. I do know one teacher nanny and she's also paid in the $40/hr range (special needs child). If you find out where these nannies hang out please let me know! |
I agree. Autocorrect makes me look like an incompetent speller often. Ugh!! |
|
I typed every incorrectly spelled variation of paradigm into my autocorrect I could think of. NONE of them suggested Paradyne...twice.
It's hard to take the topic of your thread seriously. |
Most parents I know with special needs children can't afford a $40/hr nanny. Guess that's why most of the moms don't work full-time. |
Not OP, but it's hard to take seriously the fact that you had the time or were petty enough to do this.
|
Maybe you don't use paradyne and the op does. Everyone's autocorrect is different. |
Wow. Why would you expend so much effort to prove someone wrong? It says a lot about you and none of it is good. Anyway, op, I haven't noticed a change. |
The fact that you took the time to do this is adorable. |
Please grow up! |
