I recommend using list serves. Agencies have become useless unless you have no other option.

Try urban sitter.

I'm with them and I can choose which family I want to work for. Most of the family offer a good pay too.

Live-in nanny here. I use nannies4hire, gonannies, enannysource, care and sittercity, in addition to DCUM. I've found that agencies are worse than useless, and it's a waste of time to jump through their hoops.
