Please help with a new hourly rate in this situation:

Nanny for 4 year old currently makes $20/hour base. Child will increase to full time pre-school, reducing hours.

When this happens, creating nanny share with 2 additional kids, age 3 and 5. Sometimes share will have all 3 kids, sometimes only 2.

Suggestions for rate for nanny caring for all 3 kids? Just 2?

Should be the same rate whether she has 2 or 3. I would not accept staggered pay rates based on which children were present, myself. My time and skills are worth what they are worth.

With that said, have you spoken to your nanny about this? Have you asked her what she feels would be a fair pay raise? Everyone here will have their own feelings and experiences and preferences but it only really matters that YOUR nanny is happy. (FTR I would expect $23-$25/hr for a nanny share that included three children. I also ask $20/hr for one.)

You need to ask her what she thinks is fair for all that responsibility. Or she'll just get a much easier job for similar pay. Do you want to get another nanny?

OP here. We've asked and she won't name a price - just asks for whatever we think is fair. Trying to figure that out.

$25/hour when with 2 children, $30/hour when with 3. Your rate drops to $12.50 when 2 kids, $10 when only 1 child.

This. I would lean toward $25, personally. Dealing with two families is much more complicated than dealing with one.
