...unless you're nuts. Roads are iced over until afternoon when the temps go up and the sun melts it.
People are still stuck on the roads from last night. They never got home! Salt trucks are asleep far away. |
| Keep dreaming |
| I just put a kid on the school bus. Lcps are open on time. I will be going out later to play group around 9:30 |
|
Streets are free. Buses are late but it's doable.
I will ask to leave at naptime tomorrow though. |
+1...I got stuck here last night and I am outta here at the first snowflake tomorrow! (both parents are workign from home) |
| Huh? Are you sure you aren't talking about tomorrow afternoon? Streets are fine today. |
|
TOday is fine. I had an easy commute and so did our nanny.
Tomorrow we will plan to be home before the snow starts so the nanny can get home safely also. Tomorrow won't be an issue until late afternoon at the earliest anyway. |
|
arlington county schools, and classes are cancelled for today so we're staying in. We might go for a walk this afternoon.
I hope I get off early tomorrow. The traffic is sure to be horrible |
It really depends on if you can make it to the main roads from your unplowed/untreated side street. And if there's a safe parking spot on your street. Don't you listen to the news? |
also, didn't you listen to my post? I got stuck here last NIGHT (weds night). I left at 8pm and realized I couldn't get anywhere so I had to sleep here. I know the roads are fine, that's why I am going home today after work
|
Look again. I responded to 9:55, not 8:44. You aren't so smart, are you? |
| Nearly everything's closed, even OPM. Yikes! |
Most people are required to telework and have childcare, get to work |
|
If you can't get to work.... How can the nanny? Is her neighborhood plowed? Did you plow parking space?
This is the main reason some parents want a live-in, IF they can afford it. |
It is a capacity issue, less people on the reduced sized roads so people that have to physically be at their job can travel. |
