Does anyone know of a private board? I see alot of lurking MBs on here giving their opinions. It would be nice to have a board just for us to vent without wondering if MB or DB will see it..

FYI, this board is not meant for nannies only, so MBs who post here are not "lurking". They are equal participants in the forum's purpose of addressing nanny issues.

So, if you want a private board so you can complain without potentially helpful feedback from MBs, check Facebook. It has many closed nanny groups you might find helpful.

There are quite a few, but if you don't have "the look" they won't add you on FB, I've tried a few times, but I am not blonde, super fit and wear yoga pants everyday LMAO. Create your own on FB and post here so nannies can join!

How can MBs be working when the website is called "dcurbanmom". It's the nannies (myself included) who are lurking! In answer to your question there is a moderatly active reddit group and lots of facebook groups.

Lol umm what? I'm part of a lot of nanny groups on FB and I can promise you they don't judge on your looks

To everyone saying we are lurking....

Do you not click the same tab as I do, that says Nanny Forums? I can see the employer issues or general discussion, but sometimes MBs post on questions posted specifically for nannies to answer. Doesn't mean I wanted to complain, but this is a huge network and it would be nice to have somewhere that is nanny specific.

Literally every thread that asks for a response from a specific category of people gets responses from people who don't fall into that category. Any limitations in the OP are universally disregarded. It totally goes against the nature of this place to limit who can respond to something and how would you enforce that anonymously anyway?

Nanny care tribe doesn't judge on looks.
Granted their can be a lot of cattiness but the admin does a good job of handling it.

Don't join OT nannies. The admins are awful and choose favorites.

Also don't join "nanny support and advice!!". They are honestly the dumbest group of people. The advice they ask for and the situations they're in can't be real life.
