How do you keep a demanding 3 month old baby entertained between naps? This baby does not like to stay in one place.

Go for a walk.

If you can't figure out what to do with an infant, and yet you're complaining of boredom, perhaps working with infants isn't a good choice for you. There are plenty of jobs available with mobile infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school age children, perhaps you should look into some of those?

Pack-up and get out for a walk, library, etc.

Sing songs. Read the newspaper out loud. Turn on Pandora. Keep a coloring book in your purse.

Long stroller walks. Go for coffee or lunch. When it's nicer go to a park.

hey op I had my first experience working with an infant a couple of years ago and had only been with kids as young as toddlers before. I definitely had underestimated how bored Id be.

I took LOTS of walks on nice days, did a lot of tummy time, and even though he was young Id put him in his little seat and read books to him and sing songs. His eyes would light up. Id lay him down and hang things over him to get him to reach etc. 2 of his favorite things were me blowing bubbles while chilling on the porch and reflecting sun light around the room at certain times of the day with mirrors.

if you make a schedule and break down what you'll do it will also make your day go quickly and you'll find yourself scrambling for more time before you know it.

don't worry a few months will fly by quicker than you can imagine and the little guy will be running all over the place and you'll be missing the easy days lol

I would take multiple stroller walks during the day. Also do fun stuff like offer stories, play toys on the floor, and sing songs too! Also if he has a baby swing, let him swing on occasion too. If he has a baby gym, that would be an awesome activity for him to engage him in too.

Strap him into something and go take a break or watch some tv. Thats what I do. But my NF doesn't have cameras. YMMV
