| Nope. Contractor here. If I don't work j don't get paid. Contractors on govt sites are pissed because hey will have to take leave or make up the one later as they will be kicked out of those spaces. |

That sucks pp.
My employers said they couldn't give me extra time off for the holidays because they have to work. They're both feds, but I doubt the early time off will be extended to me |

+1. Luckily my husband is on a contractor site but friends on govt sites are really pissed. |

| I don't work for the gov't but our nanny has off after 11 am 12/23 through 12/29. This is when we're off (except for helping us pack up tomorrow morning) so she gets it off also. |
