On Christmas Eve. Are your employers extending that to you?

Nope. Contractor here. If I don't work j don't get paid. Contractors on govt sites are pissed because hey will have to take leave or make up the one later as they will be kicked out of those spaces.

Pp here. And I didn't realize this was the nanny forum. Ignore all the above.

That sucks pp.
My employers said they couldn't give me extra time off for the holidays because they have to work. They're both feds, but I doubt the early time off will be extended to me

Our nanny never works on xmas eve - we always take vacation at this time.

Dear Nanny, if you want off the days Fed employees get off, work for the Feds.

I don't work for the gov't but our nanny has off after 11 am 12/23 through 12/29. This is when we're off (except for helping us pack up tomorrow morning) so she gets it off also.

I work for gov employees and have Christmas Eve off.

Was supposed to get the day off, but they've decided they'd rather sit on their asses. They'll be getting the gift of experiencing what its like to scramble for childcare after the holidays.

Right, because thinking your employers would pass along generosity is too much like right.
