| Morning what is the rate to take care of 29 months old boy and 7 week old little girl in Potomac plus laundry she want pay $15/ hour |
Is the toddler in any classes or preschool? Are you allowed to leave the house in the winter with the infant? How is transportation happening? How many years experience do you have? Are you fluent in English or another language that they want you teach one or both children? Are you willing and able to teach the basics (letters, numbers, shapes, colors, patterns, life skills, manners, etc.)? Are you cooking for the toddler, and if so, what level of cooking? Is it children's laundry only, or household? How many hours per weeks? How many days per week? Is it a normal schedule (no weekends, no hours before 6.30 am or after 6.30 pm)? Is it a flex schedule? There are tons of variables, but normally, no, $15/hour would be a rate for 1 child, not 2. |

Thanks

| I would ask for $20-22hr, especially with an infant. |
Agree. If she doesn't want to pay more, you can take it (if you need to) and then get another job soon. If you are a good nanny, lots of families in Potomac will pay you $20-26/hr. This woman wants to take advantage of you. |
| thank you very much |
really? |
wow just wow that all I can say to you MS AJ |
what did you say THANK YOU for what? Rubbish |
I think she said thank you to my 18:52 post. Why are you so nasty here? Do you need to be reported? |

I agree $15 sounds low, but that also depends on qualifications. If it is on the books, maybe ok.
Amazing how many nannies try to give false advice to other nannies about the rates. Nannies seeking job are getting a wrong impression that there are tons of families out there paying $25++. I am not aware of any and I live in an affluent neighborhood close to Potomac. I am not saying it is right, I am saying what is real. My first neighbor pays $18 for two kids, for a fantastic nanny with college degree, and we pay $15 for one kid, and could have also hired cheaper, but went with this one since we liked her. So, yes, $15 sounds low, but it maybe just right. |
| The above post, 21:47, is plain stupid. She's not worth more than that one word. Sorry. |
| $$15 is low for 2 kids plus laundry. I'd say $19 minimum. |
| $15/hour is a starting rate for some families and nannies, but only if there's only one child. For 2 kids, definitely $18/hour to start. |

This endless debate is so tiresome.
Great nannies, for multiple kids, can be found in Montgomery County for $15/hr easily. Great nannies, with broader experience/education/expertise can be found for significantly more per hour also. But a posted position offering $15/hr will get lots of qualified applicants. Sorry - it's just the reality. |
