My NF bought me a lovely bunch of flowers and sent me home in a taxi last night after a few hellish days with both kids sick, gross, irritable and unhappy. It was so nice! They're really good about always thanking me at the end of the day and respecting my time, but that's just extra great.

Nice!

I had a long work trip last week and our nanny really went out of her way to make life easier for my husband while he was solo parenting. She made extra food, had the kids all ready for bed, got them pumpkins for trick-or-treating and stayed late a couple of evenings just to smooth the transition when he got home.

So appreciated!

(And she was thanked profusely, paid overtime, and given some time off this week.)

How nice. When MB or DB travel I do the above. DB thanks me but MB never does. Often times she complains about how I did things wrong. I've stopped doing any of it now.

This is so fantastic! I love hearing about all the good things nannies and families do for each other. I know I'm lucky that all but one of my experiences have been good or excellent, and it really makes me happy to see other people happy with their jobs/nannies.

One of my first nanny families gave me $1000 towards a down payment on a new car after my engine went out on mine.

I have another past family that whenever they're in town (they moved out of state). Contacts me and takes me to dinner wherever I want.

My last family the mb pull schedule girl time for us without the kids and would take me to lunch etc of my choosing and would block out extra time on her lunch breaks for it

My current family NEVER docks my pay nor uses my pto days when I need to leave early or be off. She also gives me tons of pto and never tries to trade off etc. she's really nice

Last year I got an iPad plus 300 bucks for bonus. I was only babysitting for this mom for about 15h/week. I was so shocked and happy.

Good things -

I don't nanny anymore but one of my former families has a newborn (almost 2 weeks) and asked me if I could do 10hr a week with him for a couple months. Tiny baby snuggles are the best thing ever!!

Awwwww. I do two part-time families and one has an almost four-month-old who loves to snuggle (when he's not being murdered by his older sister) and the other family is expecting #3 in May. All these lovely babies!

Last year they gave me a huge Christmas bonus and amazing gifts that I was not expecting at all! I had only been with them for a couple of months, and I was really thankful!
