My DB is so odd

My DB is so odd, although really nice. I've been with them going on two months. The first week he was getting to know me and asked questions about myself, toddler things, etc. Now everytime I try to talk to him he just states at me. He's not staring at me sexually or anything. His stare is more of like a blank or " dumb" stare. A few times he looked at me like he so annoyed that I'm asking a question. Half the time I am talking, he gets on his phone, even asking a question. He will also ask questions and then while answering, get on his phone or walk out of the room. I find it to be rude. MB is the sweetest and I've noticed he never does this around her or other people I've seen him interact with. I'm wondering if he does this because he just sees me as the " help"? It's nothing to bring up, but I'm curious. I would love answers from MB's, please.

I would severely limit my interactions with him and only ask him questions or talk to him if absolutely necessary. For whatever reason it sounds like he doesn't like you...and that's ok everyone doesn't have to like everyone...so just leave him alone. Yes, lots of parents who have the money to have a nanny are kind of weird. They just are.

I got that feeling of dislike, but I don't think that's it. Just yesterday he was saying how happy they were that I am caring for their toddler. This was after his friend had to fire their nanny.

OP here. I seriously doubt it. He's very intelligent ( high powered lawyer). For the first month he was so nice and wanting to know so much, but now this. I'm sure I'm overthinking. He is still nice and courteous like when greeting, asking how my day was, etc. It could be that he is just exhausted from work or actually busy with work emails.

Many Aspies are highly intelligent in high powered jobs.
Like you said he's probably just busy and is used to getting information quickly.

It could be that he does see you as the "hired" help. Or maybe not.

Either way, I agree he does sound a little like a fruitcake.

Since you love the MomBoss, just try to get along w/the Father as best you can. And try to minimize any contact w/him from now on.

He sounds like a snob.
